Introduction to Death Metal

Greetings, Members and Admins of Discovery Music! I am Villi Thorne, I'm an American living in Canada and I'm 23 years old. I've always had a passion for art, whether it be visual, digital, written or otherwise. I've explored almost every medium of art, and now I'm trying my hand in writing and I find myself enjoying it more and more with each review I write. I own and operate my own extreme metal E-Zine, Volumes of Sin, and I write reviews for bands all over the world. I've always loved music, ever since I was a kid. Death Metal means a lot to me because it's helped me through some of the toughest times in my life. I love the hard crunch to

I like the scream of a butterfly

A creature made of sunshine her eyes were like the sky Rabbit howls like something old as we twist to her lullaby The scalpel shines in gods sunshine, the street lights whisper pain Down here near the poison stream our god has gone insane She smiles like a child with flowers in her hair With blood on her hands into the sun she stares She feels it die, I heard her cry Like the scream of the butterfly Sunshine the house in flames She likes it where she gets it but it's never felt the same Surgery in the house of dissection When your candle burns out I will resurrect you She runs through fields of daisies Yeah it's just a shame that

Banaroo Disbands... Again..?

After an interesting run during 2013 with two new singles “Dubi Dam Dam 2013” and “Space Cowboy 2013”, as well as a brand new fifth studio album titled “Bubblegum World”, Banaroo has unfortunately disbanded again for a second time. The official announcement of the split came on November 6th, 2013 from former Banaroo member Laura Luppino. She posted this regarding the rumors of a split (translated loosely with Google Translate): “Love Banaroo fans Some have wondered why on Banaroo side not so much happening. I regret to inform you that Banaroo has dissolved. Each of us has different ideas about its fut

Review: War Ripper - Hell Storm

When War Ripper first appeared out of no where in the Hells Headbangers catalog back in 2007, there was a lot of speculation as to who was actually behind the project since the band member(s) kept their identity a secret. The group was later confirmed as a one-man 'secret side project' of Toxic Holocaust leader Joel Grind, who eventually came out and claimed the material as his own. Having gone largely unnoticed, Hell Storm is the only release thus far that Joel Grind has contributed to the War Ripper discography. Does it deserve more recognition? Those that are already familiar with Toxic Holocaust will notice right away Joel's distinctive
